Quality Design by Experience

OUR CONCEPT

Design. Create. Sail.

At WonkyFrog, we are passionate about designing top-notch RC boat hulls that deliver exceptional performance on the water. With years of experience and expertise, we utilize the latest CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and prototyping techniques to bring our designs to life.

Our skilled designer engineer works tirelessly to develop high-quality RC boat hulls using advanced materials such as fiberglass and carbon fiber. These materials not only offer superior strength and durability but also contribute to the sleek hydrodynamic and aerodynamic design of our hulls.

By harnessing the power of CAD, we are able to create intricate and precise designs that optimize speed, stability, and maneuverability. This allows our RC boat hulls to outperform others in their class, giving you the edge you need to dominate the competition.

Prototyping is a crucial step in our design process. Through rapid prototyping techniques, we are able to quickly iterate and refine our designs, ensuring that every detail is perfected before production. This meticulous approach guarantees that our RC boat hulls meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

When you choose WonkyFrog, you can trust that you are getting a product that has been carefully crafted by experienced designers and tested extensively to deliver unparalleled performance on the water. So, whether you are a seasoned racer or a hobbyist looking for an exhilarating experience, our RC boat hulls are designed to exceed your expectations.

Each of our hulls are hand laid, cured, joined and finished to give exacting results, with optimum layers of reinforcement exactly where it is needed.

What we do?

Design

Our owner and designer brings years of RC model engineering and product design experience to the table. With a deep passion for RC boats, they have dedicated their time to creating innovative hull designs. From offshore fast electric boats to classic watercraft, our designer has a knack for crafting unique and high-performance hulls.

In addition to designing iconic boat models, our team is excited to announce that we will be venturing into the world of scale ships in the near future. With a wide range of designs on the horizon, there will be something for everyone.

Join us on this exciting journey as we continue to push the boundaries of RC boat hull design. Stay tuned for new releases and updates, and get ready to experience the thrill of our meticulously crafted hulls.

Support

Our aim at WonkyFrog is that you are completely satisfied with our products and services. That’s why we not only provide professional advice before you order: We are also there to help you afterwards, serving as reliable support.

Having our own collection and first from mold hulls built up, hardware installed, painted and given rigorous testing in the water we can also advise on what motors, speed controllers, and other hardware we used for ours.

Construction

In the construction of WonkyFrog hulls, there are various methods used to create a sturdy and reliable structure. One common approach is hand building, where the hull is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans. This method allows for precise shaping and customization to meet specific design requirements.

Another important aspect is the joining of different hull sections. This is done using techniques such as bonding or fiberglass cloth and resin lamination. These processes ensure a strong connection between the sections, enhancing the overall structural integrity of the hull.

Reinforcement placement is crucial in RC boat hull construction. Reinforcements such as bulkheads, stringers, and ribs are strategically positioned to provide additional strength and support. These reinforcements help distribute the stresses experienced during operation, preventing potential failures and improving durability.

When it comes to materials, fiberglass is commonly used in RC boat hull construction. Fiberglass cloth is layered and impregnated with resin, creating a lightweight yet robust composite. This combination offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to water and impact, making it ideal for RC boat hulls.

For even greater strength and stiffness, carbon fiber infusion is utilized in some RC boat hulls. Carbon fiber cloth is impregnated with resin and vacuum-bagged, allowing the resin to fully saturate the fibers. This results in a lightweight, high-performance hull that can withstand extreme speeds and harsh conditions.
